They set it up to suggest you have a chance if you comply, but it’s a trick and you don’t have a chance. The cruelty of the trick is part of the enjoyment for sadistic fascists.

This is not the case. They’re bypassing the law entirely to kidnap and disappear people.

The “one quarter” is not about how people voted, it’s about this survey. There’s are links at the end of the article to more information about the survey and its methodology.

It was a pretty sensible and erudite site for a while. Then Digg nuked itself and reddit was forever changed.

I don’t expect his thinking got as far as that question.

It has no interest in doing good things for the country. It considers its business to be mainly hurting people, when it’s not stealing wealth.
If you read the whole thread, it turns out to be an undesirable behaviour of a tool called b4, which was rewriting not just author information but committer information. The consensus seems to be that this tool needs to be updated not to do that.

If they were to pass the increased costs of importing steel and aluminum to the buyers of these military vehicles, the increase in price would hardly be noticeable. You can admit this without it meaning “I like Donald Trump.”

So your estimate of the total trans population in the USA is probably not too far off.
I’d love for Canada to make a point of offering asylum to transgender people who are persecuted in other countries. But we have to tame our own right wing to ensure trans people are safe and can live a good life here. Though the Liberals narrowly won the general election, the results still showed a worrying lurch to the right.

An Acorn Atom with 2KB of RAM because 12KB was too expensive. Good little computer, and the journey from the tiny Acorn Computers company to today’s ARM processors is a pretty amazing one.
Trump probably imagines he’s being smart by pretending to be against Putin while actually continuing to serve him. He’ll think no one could see through that.
