I believe it might be just blocking the video playback until the expected (by youtube) length of the (blocked) ad has finished, after which the video starts playing as usual.

For example the EU is adopting Matrix for official communications and large parts of the public sector in germany (like health, military, etc) are doing the same. The thing that prevented previous attempts at pushing FOSS was that they tried to get people to use Linux instead of trying to get them to use open source programs first. This is essential, because once they are used to using those web based or cross platform alternatives, switching to linux will become a non hurdle for most basic office workers.

“The events of last night really have reached a new low in terms of antisemitism in Queensland,” he said.
“What we saw was a rabid mob intimidating Jewish people in a way that we have not seen before in Queensland – and it’s unacceptable.”
If you feel targeted by this, then maybe stop being a Zionist…
“This was a Jewish event. They attacked a Jewish event, and therefore it’s antisemitic,” he said.
They werent “attacked”, they were boycotted. And they werent boycotted because they are jewish, but because they are Zionists.

Also it would be perfect for basically all packaging applications that dont involve food but do require an airtight seal. So you could probably replace the majority of all single use plastic packaging/containers with it.

If you self host tge server its perfect ofc, but even if you dont, spreading notification data over hundreds or thousands of push servers makes it much harder for governments to find what they are looking for.

Not the main instance ofc because then you have one big silo again, but there are plenty of publicly hosted servers.

Everyone knows about the Israeli genocide, nothing happens despite that. In the end getting the information out is an important baseline, but to actually do anything about those situations you need political power.
Damn yeah. Just the window managment issues are a complete no go for any productive work.
