I’m not sure that’s quite true; here’s an example from King George III doing it the way America does it now (top right corner of the top page):
And an example from America in the same century (though I think we’re already in agreement, there):

But wouldn’t that just be an extension of the way of doing things, though? If I’m used to writing “July 4th, 1776”, I wouldn’t start writing “04/07/1776” when that format picked up (which, as I understand things, didn’t really become a widespread norm until computers).
Unless I’m misunderstanding you, of course (always possible).
But in any given situation where the month is important enough that I need to know it, I want to know the month regardless of the day. The 25th means fuck all to me unless I know the month, as well; whereas there are plenty of scenarios where I want to know the month but the day isn’t quite as important.
Is it really switching if that was the way it was traditionally done and they just kept doing it that way?
You and me both, swelter; you and me both…
Perhaps closer to what you’re thinking of? https://furilabs.com/shop/flx1/
I’m always surprised more people still don’t know about it but FuriLabs does have an offering which I’ve heard does this pretty well: https://furilabs.com/shop/flx1/
And some more info. (albeit, 9 months old): https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/1fa1ljn/furilabs_flx1/
It is using Halium but, otherwise, it’s proper GNU+Linux with decent spec.s.
Not even just exotic. They’re known for being germ vectors, in general.
Weird; I mean, I know it’s anicdotal but I’m 5’6" and I’ve never had anyone so much as even mention my height (maybe when around other men when I was younger once or twice but the bulk of my friends have always been more women such that I don’t truly remember).
I guess it doesn’t really contribute to the thread but I was just genuinely surprised at such a difference of experience.
But people who limit their choices to strict deterministic traits tend to completely skip right over awesome people, and then they wonder why they’re partners are so terrible.
True as Hell, though.
Probably; I remember there definitely was for Emma Watson.
There’s a bit during the credits of the movie The Master of Disguise where someone, while asking if the main character can turn into absolutely anyone, floats the idea of the Olsen Twins; they were 16 when that movie was released (which probably means they were 15 when the scene was filmed).
While the punchline is funny, it’s probably worth at least likewise considering that Natalie Portman’s experience with her first film resulted in – at 13 years old – being sexualized pretty much instantaneously, an experience which may’ve (I can’t find any quotes confirming or denying) impacted how she negotiates with nudity in roles she takes throughout her career.
“I hit and abused you because i was overwhealmed because of you”
She never outright said as much but I always assumed my mother did the same for similar reasons (considering me and all my siblings have anxiety and depression, I suspect poorly self-medicating, on her end, but I’m not one to armchair diagnose); there was just too much…vigor in the punishment for me to think it was proper formation that was at the forefront of her mind.
Well, – you see – a colon can never follow quotation marks, in traditional typography: only ever two hyphens~
