Yikes, that sounds awful. I will say tho if driving is the easier option then your city still isn’t setup for proper transit (which sadly makes sense if you live in north America)
I’m talking about quantity not the popularity of a given language. There are certainly a number of popular languages that follow that convention
oh for sure, but I think that’s the rarer case for language implementions. Having a consistent structure with alternative keywords in static positions is just easier to develop an AST for. Personally my favorite language doesn’t even allow for const values (except by convention) so it’s really just a matter of preference
I live in the city. I don’t have this weakness you speak of
Because sometimes that let
can be replaced by other things like const
. Which can be managed statically by the machine and not by my (imperfect) ability to know if it’s mutated or not
The real answer is that no one knows. There’s probably no single answer for something so complex and so intricately related to us as a species. It probably has multiple factors ranging from increased survival to just pure curiosity. It’s personal, cultural, and yet still somehow universal. It’s like any other form of artistic communication. We just do it bc we do
As an anecdote I can attest to this personally. I stopped using AI assistance tools for my work bc I noticed I’d stopped thinking about what I was doing
Easy! The only I use. The rest are too bloated and/or have too little built in and are too easy/hard. Real Linux wizards agree
Someone get OP to the burn ward STAT
General principals are great until you take them to an extreme. There’s always cases where you need to do something a bit different
Unfortunately the game is specifically designed to waste your time if you want to see everything it has to offer. So it’s not really the communities fault for pushing to maximize that time spent. Just a consequence of a deliberately slowed down system
Ime most people who report to read very fast tend to absord less information. They also seem to spend less time picking apart the details and mulling them over. For me a big part of reading isn’t really reading but thinking in-between moments of reading
I drink my two cups from the time it finishes brewing until lunch
