The stalls at my work have zero gaps whatsoever and the door/walls (which are made of wood) go almost to the floor. There’s fairly high quality locking handles that indicate whether or not it’s occupied. It’s amazing and I don’t know of any other public restroom in my area like it.

Lemmy has links to a variety of news sources, some more credible than others. I imagine there are people who link credible news sources on social media as well?

I wouldn’t touch Facebook with a 10’ ethernet cable. Haven’t heard of kjiji, I’ll have to check it out.

Adding to that, depending on your RAID configuration you can have one or more drives fail and not lose any data.

Also you can install things like Plex media server or Immich and set up basically your own equivalent of Netflix server or google photos and look at your media from pretty much anywhere.

Someone recently told me about a RAID configuration that can mitigate bit rot but it was a long conversation and I forgot a lot of what they said. I’m currently in the planning stages of setting up my first NAS so if anybody could point me in the right direction that would be pretty sweet.

As an engineer who dabbles in machining, that checks out. What really grinds my gears (sometimes literally) is how sometimes people use fractions of an inch and sometimes people use decimals.

That’s a punchable face if I’ve ever seen one.

I can’t really give a great answer to that, pretty sure it was all just electrical hardware. I’m curious now, I’ll look around and let you know if I find something.
