Python’s Twine issue 153. Be warned that since this meme has first trended the comment section has been irreversibly tainted by that other place’s crowd.

Anyways this video goes into some detail instead of ominously saying jack shit and it sounds like this Enrico guy was mostly busy shuffling code around and breaking stuff, then pivoted into a crusade against DEI. Doesn’t fit the persecuted savior story.

I haven’t played Minecraft for a while, but I was under the impression that Microsoft was progressively turning the Bedrock version into a microtransaction hellscape. If I’d have to reluctantly commend Microsoft for anything, I’d rather go for Visual Studio Code.
luciole (he/him)@beehaw.orgto Linux@programming.dev•How I discovered that Bill Gates monopolized ACPI in order to break Linux18·11 days agoKind of half related, but Microsoft loves to fuck with dual booting as well in various ways. Just last year a security patch broke dual booting, required a complicated workaround to get out of, and was only properly fixed 9 months later. Historically some “fast boot” shenanigans have been known to actually be “fucking with linux dual boot”. At this point if I need Windows for some adulting, it’s done in a virtual machine. Microsoft has simply lost their privilege to bare metal access on my PC.
EDIT: Stories like this post are disheartening though, since they show that Microsoft can use their weight to make everyone else’s experience worst even if you completely avoid them.
I’m with you. Very puritan, kinkshaming article. Stellar Blade might not be my thing, but I know not to yuck people’s yum. One could take the opportunity to discuss sexual objectification, but apparently that’s off the table.
