Efficiency =/= Accuracy or safety

I can efficiently put a screw in drywall with an electric drill, but it doesn’t mean it will hold it up or attach it to anything.

When I learned this in JROTC, it ruined me and I get so upset when I hear it in media now. Been like 30+ years and I’m still angry when I hear it.

My opinion is that all of these public fights are just theater distracting from passing things behind our back. In a few days they will suddenly make up after they pass whatever they want.

You really are Canadian. That was more polite than we deserved.

I was teaching my kid how to nail while doing one of those Home Depot kids projects that can you bring home. I held it up to show him and nailed too hard with the way I was holding it that the nail went through and pierced my left hand at the base of thumb all the way to the muscle.

I promptly told him, “that’s why the correct way to nail is to put it on the ground to do this and do not hold it like that, now daddy needs to go get a bandage real quick.”

I cleaned it, bandaged it, finished the project, and then went to the doctor just in case because it was fairly deep. 🤣

If that’s your mane point, then I guess it’s acceptable.

Why can’t you just tell the truth for once? You don’t always have to be lion.

Because over time people will forget the year. Like many hear July 4th and couldn’t tell you it is for 1776. People get lazy, and knowing the year gives a nice reference for time and how it has gone by.
