Ah, yep. Forgot about them. Cyrus, Lohan…a ton of the popular girl stars from Disney and other entertainment types all suffered. I thing the singers suffered worse, and those backed by Disney’s publicity machine that put them in the public eye more often.
Are all the girls you’re looking at Brazilian?

If the story and characters are well written and/or acted well enough to pull you in to the story you can certainly feel empathy and other feelings vicariously.
There is plenty of entertainment that does not pull the viewer/reader in, and you don’t particularly get “involved” with them.
I’d be curious what the line is for most people, what draws them in to a story emotionally to make that investment in a fictional character.
The worst ones off the top of my head were Spears and Emma Watson. Holy crap the sleazy press crowed when they turned “legal”. It was pretty gross. No shortage of sketchy leering photographs when they were under age, too.
Everyone’s given good airport advice, so I’ll offer some personal travel advice if you’re not a frequent traveler.
Keep your personal travel documents in a place you’ll remember in a bag close to you, under the seat in front of you. Same for any medications. Purse, tote, backpack, whatever, and make sure it’s in a place where it’s zipped up and won’t fall out of the bag when set down. This means your passport and any other ID, and even your bank cards and the like. This bag will not and can not be checked luggage. Make sure it conforms to carry on bag restrictions for the airline.
Do not carry important items in a disorganized jumble at the bottom of a bag. You don’t need that panic desperately digging for a passport, checking pockets, jackets, whatever, while freaking out that the item may be lost. Keep organized. You’re going long way and are going to be wiped out physically and mentally. Save yourself the stress.
Do NOT put anything in the seat back pocket. After hours and hours of stress of travel and fatigue you will be far, far more likely to forget you put something there. Phone, backup battery, itinerary, or heaven forbid a passport. I travel for a living and probably just over once every couple months the cabin crew find a passport or phone in a seat back or a passenger comes running back to the plane panicked looking for an important item.
Customs - make sure you don’t bring anything you’re not supposed to into another country. Some innocuous over the counter medications like decongestants based on stimulants are illegal and treated like illegal drugs to bring in to some countries. Check Korea’s laws for travelers before you depart.
Give yourself time to get through airports that are unfamiliar. This includes time to clear customs and security. This will also help reduce stress and give you time to recover from any missteps like showing up at the wrong terminal.
Good luck, enjoy the ride!

I’ve only seen it on higher end cars so far, but they absolutely exist. Unfortunately in the US people stick brake flashers that blink in patterns every time they touch the brake. Mostly useless as they’re installed to be “look at me, aren’t I cool with my blinky brake lights?” rather than any additional safety.
Yes I did. 6 months ago.

RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.worldto Fediverse@lemmy.world•lemm.ee is shutting down at the end of this monthEnglish14·4 days agoPeople seem to want to overcomplicate the fediverse. Think of instances like independent old-school internet forums each with their own mods and subforums. You pick the one you want to participate in and sign up. Yeah, you can pick more than one, and of course you have to sign up for each one independently of the other. They do not share accounts. Each forum is independent.
The big difference is that each forum can “ally” itself with another forum and your comments and posts are shared and saved among the allies, members of the other forums can interact with you because their comments are shared back to yours.
So in this case one forum (lemm.ee) shuts down, but all the shared info will still exist on the other forums, it doesn’t get deleted from the allied forums. It’s just not accessible to the OP on lemm.ee anymore because the original account and forum are gone.
I think saved bookmarks that are saved on an account will no longer work unless your app saves them externally.
