Pyr@lemmy.cato News@lemmy.world•Businesses are raising prices after tariffs — even on unaffected goods92·13 days agoEverything is connected nowadays.
Yes your raisin bran cereal might not have tarriffs directly, but the equipment used to make it, harvest the ingredients, package it, and ship it are all made of steel. If steel goes up in price your raisin bran goes up in price.
Pyr@lemmy.cato Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you were the CEO of a small game development company would company field trips be a good thing?20·13 days agoAs long as I’m getting paid you can send me anywhere to do anything.
But expect me to go somewhere without being paid and it better be something I’m interested in and that I don’t have other stuff I would rather use my time to catch up on. I have better stuff to do at home than to just hang out and not be productive while also losing a day of wages.
But if it’s paid I would greatly appreciate the stress free day.

Also asking if particular wildlife in in a particular location. Tried asking it if polar bears were in a location I’m going to visit and it said yes, but a quick search through its sources confirmed that was false and the nearest Polar bears are hundreds of miles away.
