Fix: I was using an older version by mistake. Updating shows the option to get more addons than just the recommended ones at the bottom.

Probably because originally only a small subset of addons were allowed/available. It was only relatively recently that all addons were available (i.e. there wasn’t a need for a way to find more, because there were only like 10 available)

They also seem to be pivoting towards trying to make “Xbox PC” something to replace Steam (see the end of the Super Meat Boy 3d trailer).

I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and lock out developers from putting games on Steam and being exclusive to “Xbox PC”.

Microsoft is using its Windows Hardware Compatibility Program (WHCP) for PC companies to mandate support for charging, display output, and at least 5Gbps USB speeds on all USB-C ports built into all PCs…
