  • I’m definitely in the minority, but i really never had or have any issues with Windows or Teams like everyone seems to complain so much about. With that said, I absolutely love that they are making this move. As someone who works in the area and sees the pricing and how much our company spends on Microsoft I find it appalling and absurd that anyone is willing to spend that much on licensing… I wish I could work on a project like this just to see what the savings could be overall.

  • Early 40’s married and 2 younger kids. I watch trailers and sometimes play demos, lol. I keep up with the news and over the years my game list that used to be about 10 games a year was 5 then 3 and now it’s been like 1 or 2 games a year that I buy. I haven’t actually finished any of them either… friends poke fun at me for it as well. I really wish I could play, but it’s just not in the cards these days, sadly. I feel like as soon as I sit down, I’m beckoned to take care of something, or one of the kids needs something. I stay up later than everyone else just to get a few hours to do something but I almost never feel the need to play something because I’m either to tired or I play the same 1 game for the past 5 years which is fall guys since a bunch of us hop in and chat while playing something quick and dumb. Mostly, I’ve just been watching TV shows and passing out within the hour. Always tired these days lol.

  • I took this statement as don’t have any more kids because it’s most likely having them is what lead to their own divorce. Having kids is insanely hard and you have to change who you are to make things work. Some people are awful at that, which leads to fighting and being miserable. As someone with 2 kids, I can say it’s very, very hard…

Please stop! I just forgot about OKRs… they tried pushing them on us like 4 years ago, and 1 year later, they failed so miserably that our CIO sided with us and told us we’re not going to continue this path and everyone cheered. They either were implemented so badly that we weren’t doing it right or they just suck that bad, and it just doesn’t work for our department, which is IT.

  • My wife’s parents died 5 years ago in the same year when our first child was 3. I’m not sure how to describe my parents. I have nothing against them. We get along great. They do help, but they are not actively there much, either if that makes sense. Talk on the phone and see each other once a month for family dinner. They will help in an instant if I call them (definitely have a few times) and will watch our children when we need to do something. After that? That’s about it. They were mostly hands off with me as well, and so it’s just who they were. I enjoyed it and loved the freedom. I don’t disagree with the logic either. They did their time and just retired. They spent there life mostly taking care of me, so they deserve some much needed freedom as well to do all the things they never could partially because of me. Some may say it’s not enough, but I don’t feel that way, and I also hope to enjoy my later years just like them. You give up a lot having kids, you also have a life to live as well at some point.

And here i am with my phone still stuck on 14… I know it was a short time between 15 and 16, but still, catch up a little bit! Honestly, my only complaint about Android. I am not a fan of the pixel series either.

Edit: Never mind! I decided to check for an update and found it was ready as of early May, but for some reason, my phone didn’t check. Installing now. Now to wait another 8 months for 16.

  • I don’t dislike what I saw. Personally, I just think they are already too late to enter the market and be a big success. We just saw the numbers that Linux is killing it in almost all categories on the Legion compared to a windows OS, which is pretty bad news to have less than a month before showcasing this. It’s not like the Xbox brand is doing that wonderful these days, either. I think it will sell but not do as good as expected, and they will move on or completely give up. From what I hear, Xbox in general, is barely holding on these days. I love what gamepass did, but that may be all that remains if they can’t sell more hardware.

If I had to pick any 1 device that’s either out now or soon to be out, I am definitely not picking this one. I will also be sad if they fail since we all know the competition is what keeps things from getting stagnant and also keep prices down.

  • When i was younger and only a few years into my career, I and a coworker talked crap about our 2 bosses for a while over Google chat. It’s what we were asked to use back them internally, but it wasn’t even our work accounts. We only talked because they were being absolutely awful. Well, joke was on us when they got suspicious and searched our computers and found the chats were locally saved… Oops! They gave us another chance shockingly but did chew us out. I’m still at this place, but none of those people exist here anymore and that was super long ago.
