Wow this post has the same exact title as about half a dozen other posts containing Archie Comics. From a user that has made 9,000 posts in a year. Curious
Lol, like 40% (estimate pulled out of my ass) are xposts from .ml comms as part of ongoing boycotting efforts (recap)
Another 40 was the result of a massive increase in posting to organically counter “.ml heavy hitter comms”, basically found a home for every decent article I came across/read with a focus for comms like !linux_gaming@lemmy.world or !linux@programming.dev
The remaining 20 are things I would have posted naturally, OC memes etc.
All 9k posts were posted or xposted manually by my 2 hands
I’m… not exactly sure “boycott” is the right term for intentionally hiding the source you’re stealing content from. Nor “organically”, come to think about it.
and in any case, I don’t intentionally hide it, I go through a decent amount of effort to both ensure what ever is crossposted shows in the crosspost listing (I HATE that “crossposted from” autogenerated link regardless of whatever about .ml, because there’s already a dedicated system for showing where things are crossposted from) and OC is properly credited, just properly credited to the user themselves.
As far as organically goes, how is coming across a link/article on my own “in the wild” and posted to Lemmy when it wasn’t before, not “organic”? Lol
