    Dude in my country we had this one con in the mountains… you’d drive there like 3h to be there and at night it was a rave with the cringest weeb music… unfortunately they went bankrupt… turns out renting the WEF- building every year is expensive AF.

    The pandemic killed the anime convention atmosphere.

    Bros started to show up and act like fools, girls were dressed kind of flirty before (anime I know), now it’s rave like status on many and the fuckin lines are ridiculous now.

    It use to be a family event for us (5 years) we would go and we stopped the second year it came back during COVID. Not worth the BS.

    Thanks social media Bros and hoes for killing it.

    Sorry for the rant.

      I always find it interesting hearing the stories and events from other states and countries.

          I can’t imagine the wildfires in the state helped either.

          Minnesota still has a thriving con scene, the very first con we had after covid was nearly bursting at the seams. Matter of fact akeome con started up because of covid. It started as an online con and when it ended they decided to do it for real.
