“Officers wearing the uniforms of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Minneapolis Police Department, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, and the criminal investigation arm of the IRS surrounded Las Cuatro Milpas on East Lake Street.”
Wanna talk about government waste… 6 agencies? It was a restaurant, not a fort. You have one agency secure the place. That way they follow the same procedures and don’t hurt each other. Then if needed a specialist like the IRS guy goes in. You might have 1 ICE officer there to determine if anyone should be detained or something. But you don’t need fully armed ICE shock troops at all.
The whole thing reeks. That’s a lot of federal agencies, and more importantly I would like Walz to weigh in on why ICE was operating in his state. I’m sure he wasn’t informed. And I’m sure he won’t like the answers he is given.

He can’t stop them from operating in his state. He can order agencies under his control not to actively assist. But thats about it.
