Loved the show as a kid. Remember almost nothing about it. Except for the daughter practising kissing with a water melon and some jelly.

In Germany the title was simply “Mein Vater ist ein Außerirdischer” - “My Father is an Extraterrestrial”. Much easier to remember. I still forgot it.
