  • I get that - it was the same thing for me. It’s barely noticeable, though, unless you’re very familiar with the novel and the Disney adaptation. It’s a very tasteful homage to the novel by Carlo Collodi, but you don’t need to have read the novel to appreciate the game for what it is. It’s essentially Bloodborne 2 for what it’s worth. Truly amazing game.

Might just be a tad biased :D But if you keep an open mind about it and that’s all that’s keeping you from giving it a try, I promise you - you won’t regret trying it. There should still be a demo for the game if you’re up for it. :)

  • I get your excitement. Personally, I’d be down to get a Switch that’s not lagging behind in terms of hardware, but I just can’t justify the price tag for barely anything new it brings to the table. Sure, the performance is apparently a lot better, but apart from that not enough has changed to warrant the purchase for me. I haven’t been excited for Zelda for a couple years now, the other Nintendo IPs don’t really interest me, I don’t play on the go as much as I used to, and I have a PS5 where most titles will probably still run better than on Switch 2 despite the hardware upgrade. Plus like you’ve said, I don’t want to buy into Nintendo’s recent anti-consumer practises.

Only game I’m playing on Switch is Overwatch and even that’s not been played in the past couple months - console’s just collecting dust at this point. I used to be a very big advocate of the console, and I still am, but it doesn’t really have a place for me right now.

Do you have any other consoles or is Switch your only one? I think in that case I could see myself getting a Switch 2
